Casina Montana, is a small stone built farmstead dating back to the eighteenth century. It is located in Coriglianod'Otranto, a village in the GreciaSalentino area, and at the heart of the Salento region in Puglia. Some of the farm buildings have been recently converted into a Bed & Breakfast comprising of three separate and distinctive bedrooms and living areas. The rooms lie within a well-kept garden alongside 2.5 acres of ancient olive groves and wheat fields. They are set in a row opposite to the main farm building where the hosts Leo, Lina and family reside. Here you find a very warm welcome and are able to enjoy a thoroughly delicious breakfast.
Casina Montana B&B is 2 km from the central crossroads linking Maglie, Otranto, Gallipoli and Lecce and only a short distance from the crystal clear seas and endless white beaches of the Adriatic and Ionian coasts. The B&B is also only a short distance from Lecce, the Baroque capital of southern Italy. It is an excellent base from which you can travel the Salento food and wine route and even experience the “Pizzica”, a typical dance originating from Taranto. For those seeking to travel further afield you can visit the towns of Ostuni, Alberobello, CastellanaGrotte and Matera, all of which are manageable within a day. On your return you can relax and enjoy the tranquility of the B&B and its surrounding countryside. Finally, for sports lovers, there are nearby tennis courts, a municipal swimming pool, a skating rink and ultralight flying center.
